Planning Your In-House Counsel Needs for 2025
If you are an In-House Counsel, or part of an In-House legal team, it’s time for you to start thinking about next year’s workflow.
At Parsus, we love having planning conversations with our clients, so that we can help them plan how to best allocate their resources to help them meet their goals. We wanted to share what those conversations look like - to give you ideas for planning for your in-house needs for 2025.
Questions to Ask When Planning for Your Workflow Needs
When we work with clients who are planning for their next year, we ask a few questions. Here they are:
What is keeping your team busy right now - and will that work be extending into the upcoming year?
What business goals does your company have for the upcoming year that will feed into your team’s workflow? Is your company being acquired? Acquiring another company? M&A transactions always add to an in-house team’s workload, often for an extended period of time.
What are your team’s key performance indicators and how is your team doing meeting those goals? Where could bringing in outside counsel help with these key performance indicators?
Finally, where are the pressure points amongst your team and within your company? Are you getting pressure to keep costs down? To limit the number of hours spent per contract or the cost per contract? Are you looking to hire a new internal resource, or will your team be changing in the new year?
Asking these questions - and answering them with a trusted advisor - can help your in house team meet with success in the new year. If you are looking for support as you plan for 2025, feel free to reach out. We love talking to in-house teams and hearing how they work.
